Coolness

It is 5:15 AM. What the Hell am I doing up this early. Well, last night I tried to work on my blog and couldn't get into it. Not the first time, the server must be getting overloaded. So, here I am at 5:15 AM. Am planning to either get up for the day or go back to sleep for a few more hours. We will see what happens.

I got Goddam good news, I go to see the lawyer on Friday to sign the papers for my bankruptcy. So, that will be finally done. Well, not really done, as it will take another 3 - 5 months for this to be completed. But, I will be filed before the deadline and that makes me a Happy Camper. I slip under the wire on the new Bankruptcy Law. This has been quite a struggle, so now I will be free of all those creditors.

I talk to people, yes, I actually talk to other people about debt problems and those credit card companies are really ripping people off. One friend told me that they are paying 40 percent interest. This is so insane, we are not borrowing from some fly by night operator, these are legitimate banks, etc. And the charges that they are getting away with are absolutely criminal.

I think it's time for everyone to cut up their credit cards and give the finger to these credit card companies. because if you don't do that, they will try to fuck you over again and again.

Whatever happened to fair play. Lately, it seems no one plays fair.

Playing fair, that also goes for someone else, whose name I won't mention. But your little snafu did not work. I am still in my job and it looks like you are on the outs. SNAFU, ya know what that means, Situation Normal, All Fucked Up. I guess I just don't understand you, maybe you don't understand yourself either.

Now that you've done what you did, what am I supposed to do. I thought everything was OK and cool and you did this, so nothing was apparently alright and nothing was cool.

I think the game is over, not sure which game you were playing, but it wasn't the same game I was playing. Looks like I got the dead man's hand, so now I am dead. If that's the way you want it, so be it.

What a Day

Hey, yesterday was a day unlike others. I was vending at the NH Pagan Pride Day.

The night before I worked until 7 pm, so I didn't get home until 8 pm. I was just too tired to do anything on the computer never mind get stuff packed for vending. So went to bed and set the alarm for 4 am.

Well the next morning, I drag myself out of bed at 4:30 am. God, this is early, but anyways I get going, get the van packed and all the rest of the stuff done, so I am on the road by 7:10. My deadline was 7 am, so I am not that far off my schedule. The place I am going is only 30 minutes away, what a relief, I won't be using that much gas to get there.

Anyways, I get there in good time after going by it and having to turn around on the highway. The vender area is a bit rough, hit the bottom of my van on a rock, think all is still well.

I even have someone who helps me set up my canopy. Things are looking brighter all the time here. Kalea shows up and is splitting my space with me. She wants to help me set up my table displays. God, I hate people arranging my table, but I think, well she might have some good ideas for the display, so I tell her ok. Thinking she can't do much harm, I let her do the tarot decks and books. I start liking what she is doing, so I let her do her thing on a lot of the stuff. The whole area comes out to my liking, so I think this is going to work pretty nicely.

About the time the customers start arriving the sun is coming up and getting high enough in the sky to warm the air to more tolerable conditions. God, my feet are freezing, I wore sandles and they are sort of like shower clogs, but I am pagan and am supposed to be able to deal with a couple inconveniences. Anyway, my feet are starting to warm up a bit and I forget about my cold feet when I start getting some sales.

As the day goes on, the sales keep coming in, but not so for my partner here, it's her first time vending and vending can be quite punishing if you don't have the right stuff. Me, I have some of the right stuff, but the stuff I would really like to get rid off, doesn't sell. Looks like I'm going to be eating those rosewood Buddhas once again. But overall, I have a good day selling.

I remember the first time I went vending, I had my tarot bags, we went down near Williamsburg , Virginia and I think I sold one or two bags at that festival. So, I know what it can be like to have to bite the bullet. But, today is different, it is working today and I am doing alright.

Well, I have reached the end of the day and it's time to get packing, one of the organizers comes over and helps me get everything packed up. Packing up after selling all day can be quite tiresome, especially when there were very few sales, but today was a good sale day. I chat with some of the other vendors and find they are not happy campers, many had sales less than expected. Well, times are tough with the gas prices and everything.

I for once, can say, I'm a happy camper, I did good today and the extra money was badly needed. So it was well worth the extra effort and I am pleased. Before I leave, I give the guy helping me some homebrew I had in the car, they will be camping overnight and doing the cleanup tomorrow. So, I think, I can give back a little, because I got a lot today. I hope they enjoyed the beer, it was a dark Scottish Ale.
