My Best Friends

Whoever said that dogs were man's best friends were right, they are always there ready and waiting for you, except mine seem to spend more time sleeping than anything else.

Rusty is my oldest, the yellow one, she was supposed to be a bit more red in color, but it never happened and I liked the name Rusty. She was born in 1994, so is now 11 years old and is a Shepard - Lab cross. She is the leader of the pack and is very motherly to Mad Max.

Mad Max came to me when he was about a year old and I am not sure of his age, but I would guess he is around 7 year old now. Mad max is a Shepard - English Retriever cross and is black and white in color. He never really had a good name, everyone called him Max, so when I got him, he was a bit nutty acting, so he became Mad Max. This is the closest I can come to identifying what he is. He tends to be a bit high-strung like a retriever and he looks like an English Retriever, so thats what I think he is. Rusty looks out for him and he of course takes advantage of that.
